holiday homes for sale
From finding and falling in love with that dream caravan or lodge - buying a holiday home is a very exciting time. Just like a normal house, there are ongoing running costs including site fees, insurance, gas, electricity and water rates. Before you take your first steps into ownership, you should consider these running costs.
We’ve outlined some of the typical costs you can expect as an owner below. All of these will be explained in detail when you meet our team.
Annual site fees allow you to keep your static caravan on a serviced pitch at the park all year round and, at The Richmond, the site fees include the cost of rates, water, sewerage and rubbish disposal charges. You can use your holiday home and the park facilities from 1st March until 30th November.
One of the site conditions is that you must obtain valid holiday home insurance. Insurance costs vary depending on the age, size and value of your holiday home, as well as the level of cover you require. A personal quote will be provided.
Electricity is charged at the same rate which Richmond Holiday Centre pays for electricity, based on the individual meter for your holiday home. The cost of gas bottles is currently £60 per 47kg bottle including delivery.
Charges for rates, sewerage and water charges are included in your annual site fee costs.
To ensure that your caravan is safe and compliant, there are a number of smaller annual costs to factor in, including a Gas Test, Electrical Tests (van & appliances), Alarm Maintenance and Draindown of the Heating System at the end of the season. Some of these sundry costs may be included with your purchase. Our team will be happy to advise.
